Jordan Pickford featured in Everton’s defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Monday.

Gary Lineker has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Everton star Jordan Pickford could be the first-choice goalkeeper for England during the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia this summer.
The former Everton striker made the suggestion during the Toffees’ Premier League game against Manchester United at Goodison Park on Monday evening.
Although the Merseyside outfit lost 2-0, goalkeeper Pickford was brilliant between the posts.

Former England international striker Lineker was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Pickford.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City striker believes that the Everton custodian has a good chance of becoming the first-choice goalkeeper for England at the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia this summer.

Pickford joined Everton from Sunderland in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee stated on the Toffees’ official website to be worth £25 million.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has featured in all of Everton’s 22 Premier League matches so far this season.
