Manchester United won against Burnley in the Premier League at the weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has predicted on social networking site Twitter that Manchester United will challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The former Tottenham striker made the prediction during the league game between Burnley and United at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.
Anthony Martial put the Red Devils in the lead after 21 minutes, and Wayne Rooney doubled the advantage on 39 minutes.
Lineker was impressed with the goal scored by Martial, and has predicted United to be genuine title challengers next season.
United are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 63 points from 32 matches, just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
The Red Devils were expected to challenge for the league title this season, but things did not go according to plan and now they may not even end up in the top four.
However, Jose Mourinho remains one of the best football managers in the world, and the Portuguese is certainly going to make sure that United push for the Premier League title in 2017-18.
