Douglas Luiz scored yet another wonder for goal for Aston Villa.

Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa scores his sides 5th during the Premier League match between Norwich City and Aston Villa at Carrow Road on October 05, 2019 in Norwich, United Kingdom.

Gary Lineker lauded Douglas Luiz’s ‘sensational’ goal as Aston Villa thrashed Norwich City 5-1 at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.

Midfielder Luiz came off the bench to send his curling effort from outside of the box into the top right-hand corner.

The defensive-minded player, who scored a stunning curling effort against Bournemouth in August, repeated that same feat on Saturday.

During the game, Lineker expressed his surprise at Luiz’s goal and Villa netting five away from home against their potential relegation rivals.

What will impress Dean Smith the most is how his Villa players are spreading the goals rather than relying on striker Wesley, who did net a brace at Carrow Road.

The likes of John McGinn, Anwar El Ghazi, Conor Hourihane, Jack Grealish, Luiz and Wesley have found the back of the net in the league this season.

If they can keep that up for large parts of this season then it’ll bode well for Smith’s hopes of his team climbing up the table.

The international break will now kick in, but when Villa return, they will take on Brighton, who beat Spurs on the same day.

Villa have already beaten Brighton this season, but that was an EFL Cup encounter, when Graham Potter played a weakened side, as did Smith.
