Gary Lineker has (jokingly) suggested on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur are better than Barcelona.
The former Tottenham and Barcelona striker made the suggestion on the social networking site while watching the Spanish giants suffer a humiliating defeat to Bayern Munich on Friday evening.
The La Liga outfit were hammered 8-2 by German powerhouse Bayern in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Bavarian giants were dominant from start to finish, as Barca utterly collapsed under the pressure from their opponents.
This is not the first time that Bayern have humiliated an opposition team in the Champions League this season.
On October 1, 2019, the Bundesliga side got the better of Tottenham 7-2 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Champions League Group B.

Bayern will take on either Manchester City or Lyon in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Given the way the German giants blew away Barcelona, many will consider them as favourites to go all the way in Europe’s premier club competition.
However, not all games are going to be as easy for Bayern as the one against Barca was.
