Gary Lineker has positive words for Danny Welbeck

Arsenal won against Southampton away from home in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to share his appreciation of Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

Lineker has suggested on Twitter that Welbeck is a good player, and that he needs his luck to change regarding injuries.

The former Leicester City and Tottenham striker made the comments during the FA Cup game between Southampton and Arsenal at the weekend.

Welbeck scored twice to help the Gunners register a 5-0 victory over the Saints away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Welbeck is a good forward, but the problem is that his time at Arsenal so far has been affected by injuries.

During the 2014-15 campaign, the England international was able to feature in 25 Premier League matches,, scoring four goals and created 29 chances in the process.

The former Manchester United forward scored four goals and created seven chances in 11 league games for the Gunners last season.

So far this season, Welbeck has played in two league games for Arsene Wenger’s side.
