Gary Lineker has made it clear on Twitter that what he wrote about Leeds United last month was meant to be a compliment.

On December 20, 2020, the former Leicester City striker said that Leeds are “really fun to watch”, and added that they are even more fun to play against.

Leicester lost 3-1 to Leeds at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League today.

After the game, Lineker made it clear on Twitter that what he wrote about Leeds last month was a compliment.

Meanwhile, former Leeds star Nigel Martyn has praised striker Patrick Bamford on Twitter for his performance against Leicester.

The former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker scored one goal and provided two assists.

Ex-West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair has also praised Bamford, and seems impressed by his assist for Jack Harrison’s goal in the 84th minute.

The win against Leicester means that Leeds are now 12th in the Premier League table with 29 points from 20 matches.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are having a very good season in the Premier League, and it seems that they will finish in mid-table at least.
