Gary Lineker hails Aaron Ramsdale
Arsenal fans have been raving about Ramsdale as he made sure the Gunners avoided a defeat.
The 24-year-old will be as gutted as anyone to have not held onto all three points but he certainly did his bit.
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has now taken to Twitter to hail Ramsdale for his performance.
Lineker called those two late saves ‘sensational’ as he applauded the Arsenal stopper.
The importance of those saves cannot be overstated.
The draw keeps Arsenal six points clear of Manchester City and, had Liverpool scored, the lead would have been five points.
City still have a game in hand on Arsenal and host the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium later this month.
An Arsenal defeat could have tipped the balance in City’s favour but Ramsdale had other ideas – and this is why Mikel Arteta and co rate him so highly.
