Gary Lineker and Graham Roberts have taken to Twitter to question Hugo Lloris for his involvement in Roberto Firmino’s opener for Liverpool last night.
A low, drilled cross from Sadio Mane somehow managed to travel all the way into the middle of the box, where the Brazil international was lurking.
Firmino eventually tapped home, although it very much seemed as if Eric Dier or Lloris could’ve prevented the ball from reaching the Liverpool No.9.
In our view, Lloris is the centre of the criticism instead of Dier as the France international can, obviously, use his hands.
The £100,000-a-week glovesman really should’ve thrown himself in the way of the cross. Or, as Roberts put it, he should’ve died to prevent the ball reaching Firmino.

While it all happened so quickly, we can’t disagree with the two ex-Tottenham players.
The first thing that sprung to mind after Firmino tapped the ball in was to question how it actually reached him in the first place.
He is arguably third favourite to win the ball behind Lloris and Dier, but somehow still manages to get on the end of it.
It was poor goalkeeping from the World Cup winner, and it unfortunately set the wheels in motion for a Liverpool victory.
