Speaking to Everton’s official website, Gary Lineker has heaped praise on striker Romelu Lukaku saying the Belgian’s potential is huge.

The forward was in impressive form for the Blues last season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.

He has started this campaign in similarly impressive form, with seven goals in the league to his name so far.

His current record in the Premier League stands at 67 goals in 160 appearances, an impressive record for someone just 23-years-old.

For many, he could become one of the best strikers in world football and Lineker is clearly a fan, saying his potential is huge.

“His potential is huge,” he told the club’s official website.

“He’s a very impressive striker, like all strikers he blows hot and cold from time to time. As he progresses and matures you would like to see that consistency improve. He’s a beast. He’s got it all.”

For now, Everton will simply be hoping that Lukaku can continue to put the ball into the back of the net this season.

The Blues are heavily reliant on his to get the goals they need with the striker options severely limited.

Seven of their 16 league goals having come through him this season and they will need that to continue if they are to enjoy any kind of success this season.
