Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to issue a cringeworthy response to what Nuno Espirito Santo revealed about Adama Traore earlier today.
The Wolves boss said that the club coat the Spaniard’s arms in baby oil before kick-off, so that opponents aren’t able to pull him back once he’s breezed past them.
Nuno added that it was the medical team’s idea, and came after an injury to the ex-Barcelona man.
Traore suffered a shoulder injury after an opponent tugged his arm back, so the medical team decided that it was best to make him as slippery as possible.
After hearing what Nuno said about the clever tactic, Lineker tried his best to make a joke out of the situation – tried being the key word there.

Of course, it’s all in good nature, and Lineker’s remark did make us laugh – more at him than with him, we must add.
Nevertheless, let’s focus on the tactic itself, for it is perhaps the first instance of a club oiling up their player – at least for us it is.
Will this catch on?
In our view, it should. How many tricky and rapid players do we see get yanked back by an opponent who’s been left eating their dust?
It arguably happens at least once a game, but Wolves have potentially put a stop to it ever happening again as far as Traore is concerned.
All he needs now is a skin-tight shirt so opponents can’t grab that, and the Wolves No.37 could become even more unstoppable.
