Gary Lineker has suggested on Twitter that the referee was right to award the penalty to Liverpool during the Premier League game against Cardiff.
Liverpool were awarded a spot kick late in the match at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday evening.
Sean Morrison was adjudged to have brought down Mohamed Salah inside the Bluebirds’ penalty box, and James Milner did not make any mistake in converting the resulting spot kick.
Georginio Wijnaldum had scored the Merseyside outfit’s opening goal in the 57th minute, as the Reds won 2-0.
Tottenham legend Lineker was following the match, and he believes that it was a penalty.
The former England international striker has also predicted the Premier League title race to be decided to the final day of the season.
