Stephen Odey pulled one back for Genk, meaning Klopp will be frustrated at losing the clean sheet, but he and his side will head back to Merseyside with a fine three points.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is attracting all the attention though, with the midfielder showing fans his quality having endured injury hell in recent times.
Gary Lineker took to Twitter to call Oxlade-Chamberlain’s finish ‘absolutely sensational’, with former Arsenal teammate Robin van Persie added his own praise for the midfielder, marvelling at his goal.
