Newcastle United came from behind to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1.

Gary Lineker has described Mohamed Diame’s goal for Newcastle United against Brighton & Hove Albion last night as ‘extraordinary’.
With Newcastle trailing at the AMEX Stadium, they were in desperate need of an equaliser, and they got it with a stroke of fortune.
Christian Atsu lashed a half-volley goalwards, but his shot was miss-hit and was heading well wide.
However, Atsu’s shot deflected off Diame’s foot, looped up in the air, and somehow found it’s way into the back of Brighton’s net.
It gave Newcastle the momentum they needed, as Rafael Benitez’s side picked up a huge win in the race for promotion in the Championship.
And Newcastle’s victory has earned credit from the likes of Micky Quinn, Danny Higginbotham and Steve Howey on social media website Twitter.
Newcastle are now back at the top of the Championship table, two points clear of Brighton.
The Magpies have established an eight point cushion inside the automatic promotion spots, with their next match coming against third placed Huddersfield Town.
