Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool got the better of Swansea 2-1 away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League.

Leroy Fer put the home team in the lead after just eight minutes, but the Reds restored parity in the opening minutes of the second half through Roberto Firmino.

James Milner completed the comeback for Liverpool from the penalty spot six minutes from full time.

Former Tottenham and Leicester City striker Lineker was following the match, and he has praised the progress the Merseyside outfit are making under manager Jurgen Klopp.

Lord Sugar was also following the game, and the former Tottenham chairman claimed on Twitter that Liverpool were lucky and that Swansea deserved to go ahead.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts Swansea had 41% of the possession, took eight shots of which three were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Liverpool had 59% of the possession, took 18 shots of which six were on target, and earned 10 corners, according to BBC Sport.
