Gary Lineker and Jermaine Beckford have taken to Twitter to comment on a controversial incident in Leeds’ 1-0 win over Burnley yesterday.
The ex-Leeds striker and the BBC Match of the Day host were discussing an 18th minute incident which saw Burnley have a goal ruled out by Robert Jones.
Jones adjudged Ben Mee to have fouled Illan Meslier before Ashley Barnes rifled the ball home during the first-half at Elland Road.
In truth, it was arguably Meslier who fouled Mee by kneeing him in the back.
In the Burnley No.6’s defence, he only ever has eyes for the ball, and doesn’t glance at the young French glovesman once.

However, Jones blew his whistle before the ball hit the net, so VAR couldn’t get involved on this occasion.
Beckford – who played for Leeds from 2006 to 2010 – tweeted the following, describing the incident as ‘harsh’ on the Clarets.
Elsewhere, Lineker also felt that Sean Dyche’s men had been hard done by.
Leeds were lucky to escape Elland Road with the three points on Sunday.

However, it was encouraging to see Marcelo Bielsa’s side show another side to their game against Burnley.
The Yorkshire-based outfit proved they have the desire, organisational skills and grit to grind out a tight 1-0 win, following a 6-2 defeat to Manchester United in which their openness and attacking intent was heavily discussed.
