Ex-Tottenham Hotspur pair Gary Lineker and Graham Roberts have hit back at Arsenal fans on Twitter, after Mauricio Pochettino’s side victory yesterday.

Tottenham moved up to second in the Premier League table on Boxing Day, with a victory over Bournemouth.

Tottenham are now Liverpool’s nearest challengers in the race for the Premier League title.

And Lineker and Roberts were both keen to remind Arsenal supporters that Tottenham are right in the thick of the title fight.

Tottenham have been in remarkable form of late, and have scored 11 goals in their last two games.

Pochettino’s side have managed to keep pace with both City and Liverpool to thrust themselves into contention to win the title.

Although Tottenham still have a way to go to catch Liverpool, they now have a run of matches which look winnable and confidence is high.

Tottenham are next in action again on Saturday when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Wembley.
