Aston Villa-owned midfielder Gary Gardner is suspended for today’s Championship game between Brentford and Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to social networking site Twitter to wish his teammates the best of luck for today’s game against Brentford.
Forest will be looking to bounce back from the defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday with a win at Griffin Park today.
Aston Villa-owned Gardner will not be able to play for the Reds against Brentford today, though, as he is suspended.
However, the 22-year-old has taken to Twitter to give his backing to the Forest players and has expressed his disappointment at missing out.
Forest are currently ninth in the Championship table with 57 points from 40 matches, 11 points behind sixth-placed Derby County.
Dougie Freedman’s side have virtually lost the chance to finish in the top six of the league table this season, but one suspects that they will still be determined to win today.
Winning against Brentford will be far from easy, though, as Mark Warburton’s side are very much in the running for a place in the playoffs.
Brentford find themselves fifth in the Championship with 69 points from 40 games, six points behind leaders Middlesbrough.
