Aston Villa signed Tommy Elphick from Bournemouth yesterday.

Gary Gardner has wasted no time welcoming Aston Villa new boy Tommy Elphick to Villa Park on social media site Twitter.
Elphick became Roberto Di Matteo’s first signing at Villa yesterday, after signing a three-year deal.
The centre-back joined from Bournemouth in a transfer worth £3 million, and he will be expected to play a key role next term.
Gardner appears excited to link up with his new teammate, and welcomed him to the club with a message on Twitter.
Elphick cut his honeymoon short to ensure that his move to Villa went through.
The 28-year-old also had interest from Leeds United, but decided that Villa was the best choice for him.

Elphick has received plenty of messages from his former teammates since signing for Villa, and Ian Harte also joined the well wishers.
The former Bournemouth and Leeds defender believes that Villa have got a great deal by signing Elphick.
