Gordon Cowans and Ben Petty have left Aston Villa.
Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the departure of Gordon Cowans and Ben Petty from the club.
Cowans, who is 57 years of age, spent 18 years as coach at Villa, having already been a player at the club.
During his playing career at the Villans, the former England international midfielder won four major trophies, including the 1982 European Cup.
Ben Petty, a former Stoke City and Hull City defender, has also left his position at Villa as a coach.
Villa midfielder Gardner, who is 24 years of age, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the departure of Cowans and Petty.
Andre Green, who is 18 years of age and plays as a winger for Villa, has also taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the departure of Petty from the Championship club.
Villa have made a disappointing start to the 2016-17 Championship campaign and find themselves as low as 16th in the league table.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Nottingham Forest at Villa Park in the Championship.
