Gary Gardner (C) celebrates scoring for Nottingham Forest
Gary Gardner has wished his former Nottingham Forest teammates well after a trio were released by the club yesterday.
Forest confirmed via their official website that Kelvin Wilson, Robert Tesche, and Chris Burke are all free to join new clubs and will not be offered new contracts.
Gardner spent a second spell on loan at Forest this past campaign, and used Twitter to praise the professionalism of the three players and wish them well for the future.
Gardner could be lining up against Forest next season as he returns to parent club Aston Villa, who have been relegated to the Championship. They are yet to appoint a manager so plans for him remain unclear.

The 28-year-old central midfielder made 24 Championship appearances last season, scoring once and providing one assist.

32-year-old Burke struggled for game time this past season, and the former Scotland international was allowed to leave on loan to Rotherham United.

Centre-back Wilson, 30, had an injury hit spell at Forest after signing in 2013, and made only 11 starts last season, making only two appearances after January.
