Aston Villa won against Worcester City in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at playing for the team on Saturday.
The 24-year-old midfielder featured in Villa’s pre-season friendly match against Worcester City at Stourport’s Walshes Meadow.
The Villans won the match 5-1, with Gardner playing for the entire 90 minutes.
The former England Under-21 international midfielder has taken to Twitter to express his delight at getting playing time in pre-season.
Aston Villa defender Joe Bennett also featured in the pre-season friendly match against Carl Heeley’s side.
The 26-year-old left-back has taken to Twitter to express his delight at getting valuable playing time.
Bennett has also claimed that he is getting fitter, with the start of the 2016-17 Championship campaign just weeks away.


Villa will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
The Villans will be aiming to finish in the top two of the league table next season and gain automatic promotion back to the top flight of English football.
