Jones scored the winner, just weeks after signing a pre-contract deal with Rangers.

Jordan Jones was at the centre of controversy again on Wednesday night as he scored the winner in Kilmarnock’s excellent 2-1 win over Rangers at Rugby Park – and Killie teammate Gary Dicker posted a cheeky Tweet to Rangers.
Jermain Defoe opened the scoring for Rangers on his debut, tapping the ball home inside the six-yard box after the ball ricocheted into his path. But the Gers failed to capitalise.
Killie equalised soon after, as Eamonn Brophy capitalised on a bad mistake from Rangers defender Joe Worrall. The Nottingham Forest loanee lost the ball at the back, allowing Brophy to go through and score.
But it was Jones – who will join Rangers at the end of his Killie contract – who scored the winner, driving forward and lashing a 20-yard effort past Allan McGregor. Midfielder Dicker posted a cheeky message to Rangers fans after the match.
Northern Ireland international Jones had angered Killie fans after signing with Rangers, posting a Tweet in which he stated it was a dream come true to move to the Ibrox club.
It saw rumours suggest that he would be booed in Killie’s return to action on Saturday in the 2-0 win over Forfar, but instead the winger was given a rapturous reception. Indeed, he endeared himself to the fans once again on Wednesday.
But it is back to the drawing board for Steven Gerrard and Rangers, who proved toothless at Rugby Park. They slip to third place in the league and three points behind Celtic, who beat St. Mirren 4-0 at Parkhead.
