Can Aston Villa catch Wolverhampton Wanderers at the top of the Championship table?

Wolves have been the best team in the Championship so far this season and are going strong at the moment.
The Wanderers are currently at the top of the standings with 44 points from 19 matches, a point clear of second-placed Cardiff City with a game in hand.

Villa started the season strongly, but Steve Bruce’s side are in great form at the moment and look set for a playoff spot.
The 1-1 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road on Friday evening means that the Villans are now fifth in the Championship table with 36 points from 20 matches.
Former Wigan Athletic and Chesterfield manager Caldwell believes that Villa can catch Wolves.

“I think they have a squad that’s capable of doing it and a manager that knows what it takes to get out the Championship,” The Express quotes Caldwell as saying when asked about Villa catching Wolves.
“If anyone can then they’ll be the team that can probably come and catch them near the end of the season.”
Wolves will return to action on Monday evening when they take on Birmingham City away from home at St Andrew’s in the Championship.
The Wanderers should be able to pick up all three points against the Blues.
