Nottingham Forest striker Nicklas Bendtner has not started a league game in 2017.
Nottingham Forest caretaker boss Gary Brazil has insisted that he did not want the club to sell Nicklas Bendtner in January.
There were rumours that Bendtner could be set to leave the City Ground, after struggling to make much of an impact since signing last summer.
However, Brazil insists that Bendtner still has an important role to play at Forest, even though he has slipped down the pecking order in recent months.
Bendtner appeared to have a key role to play for Forest at the start of the season, but the former Arsenal man has not scored with any regularity.

The 29-year-old has hit the back of the net just twice in 17 appearances, and appears to be behind Britt Assombalonga, Zach Clough and Ben Brereton in the selection order at Forest.

Bendtner has not started a league match for the Reds in 2017, with all three of his appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench.
The Danish international is likely to be left on the bench again this weekend, when Forest take on Norwich City at Carrow Road.
