Nottingham Forest caretaker boss is hopeful of transfer deals this month.

Amid the uncertainty at Nottingham Forest, caretaker boss Gary Brazil has commented that the club are still looking to sign players.

Forest are currently without a permanent boss and with just one week left in the transfer window, they are yet to bring any players in.

The recently aborted takeover attempt has cast a shadow over the club off the field, but it now seems they are pushing ahead and plan a late move or two.

There were no details given at yesterday’s press conference in terms of how much money will be available, but Forest have just received £3 million from the sale of Henri Lansbury.

Even if no money was available prior to that, the seven-figure fee should provide enough for the club to do some late business.

The problem Forest may have is attracting top quality players due to their league position, currently 19th in the Championship, and lack of permanent manager.

Simply holding onto their best players before the transfer window closes will be seen as some kind of success given what has gone on before under the current ownership, but a new face or two could give the squad a timely boost.
