Pundit Garth Crooks thinks Daniel Levy simply has to reimburse Tottenham Hotspur fans after Sunday’s horror show at Newcastle United.
This was supposed to be a game between two teams vying for a Champions League spot.
Instead, it became an embarrassing demonstration of the complete and utter chaos engulfing Tottenham right now.
5-0 down inside 20 minutes, Tottenham were completely blown away by a team who looked a million miles ahead of them.
Newcastle were quick, aggressive, committed, tactically astute and full of confidence even after 3-0 defeat at Aston Villa.
Tottenham were rudderless, scared, slow and completely all at sea as Cristian Stellini went with a 4-3-3 system.
There have been some low points at Tottenham in recent times and in the ENIC era as a whole, but Sunday’s 6-1 defeat felt like a breaking point for many.

Garth Crooks urges Daniel Levy to reimburse Tottenham fans
A defeat of this magnitude will be difficult to swallow and the inquest is already underway.
No manager, no director of football, a star player who could hardly be blamed for wanting to leave, and interim boss whose last managerial gig was in Italy’s third tier and a squad who look like strangers.
This is a complete mess for Tottenham and just how Daniel Levy can get them back on track is anyone’s guess.
BBC pundit and former Tottenham striker Garth Crooks has now had his say on a damning day for Spurs.
Crooks has told BBC Sport that he felt Tottenham’s performance was an absolute ‘horror show’.
Crooks added that one of Levy’s first moves should be to tell the Tottenham players to reimburse paying fans who made the long trip to St James’ Park.
That will not have been a cheap journey for most fans, who were served up one of the worst Tottenham displays in Premier League history.
Crooks thinks the Tottenham players should cough up the cash and give Spurs fans their money back – but with a shove in that direction from Levy.
“This was a horror show by Tottenham,” said Crooks. “Five goals down away from home against the team you are competing with for a Champions League place? Chairman Daniel Levy should insist the players reimburse travelling fans who no doubt spent a considerable amount of money to watch their team capitulate,” he added.
