Pundit Garth Crooks has told BBC Sport that he thinks Thomas Partey was so good for Arsenal against Manchester United that it should be a concern for Tottenham Hotspur fans.

Arsenal headed to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, and secured all three points as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored from the penalty spot after Hector Bellerin had been fouled by Paul Pogba.

The Gunners produced a strong performance, especially defensively as they claimed a clean sheet and a big victory over the Red Devils.

One of the stars of the show was Partey, who was absolutely dominant in midfield, earning huge praise off the back of his display.

The Ghanaian, who joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid last month, racked up four successful dribbles, three tackles won, two interception and one shot on target in a strong performance.

Fans have been lauding Partey, whilst many pundits have suggested that he’s exactly the sort of player Manchester United need in midfield as he excelled against them.

Now, pundit and former Spurs man Crooks has suggested that Partey’s display was ‘very worrying’ for Tottenham fans, because he and Mohamed Elneny dominated just like Patrick Vieira or Emmanuel Petit did in the past.

Crooks branded Partey ‘outstanding’, and now believes there’s something for Spurs supporters to fear as Arsenal welcome Partey into their side.

“That was some performance by Thomas Partey at Old Trafford,” said Crooks. “The Ghana international looks fit, strong and up for any battle – while his ability to intercept and break up the opposition’s play on Sunday was outstanding.”

“Partey along with Mohamed Elneny, dominated Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay. I’ve not seen an Arsenal midfield duo dominate the centre of the park at Old Trafford so effectively since Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit. This is very worrying if you are a Spurs fan,” he added.
