The forward has been in impressive form for Liverpool.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Garth Crooks has suggested that Sadio Mane could become as important a player for Liverpool as Luis Suarez was.
The winger joined the Reds in the summer transfer window, with the club paying big money to Southampton for his services.
It was a deal that raised many an eyebrow because of the money involved but Mane has since gone on to fully justify his large price tag as he currently sits on six goals and two assists in ten games.
He has already firmly established himself as a key player and Crooks has questioned whether he could go on to become as important as Luis Suarez.
“What a purchase this lad is proving to be. His goals against Watford demonstrated natural striking instincts,” he told BBC Sport.
“Mane seems to be getting better with every game and I wonder if he could become the player Luis Suarez was for Liverpool. He certainly has all the tools.”
For now, Mane will simply be focused on helping Liverpool continue their flying start to the season.
The demolition of Watford on Sunday saw them move to the top of the Premier League table, a point clear of second-placed Chelsea.
It is a great place to be in at this stage but the Reds face a fight to stay there and will need the likes of Mane to keep up his high performances to ensure they do so for the long haul.
