Garth Crooks comments on the future of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The former Tottenham forward made the comments about Kane while including him in his BBC Premier League Team of the Season.

Crooks wrote about Kane on BBC Sport: “It would be sheer folly for me or anyone else to ignore the obvious. This lad cannot wait around forever watching his England team-mates achieve what he could do quite easily elsewhere.
“It’s why Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Teddy Sheringham all left Tottenham. It would be a crying shame if Kane is forced to do the same.”

Same old same old?
This is not the first time that it has suggested that Kane could leave in the future if Tottenham do not start winning trophies.
That could be true, but what is important to know is that the England international striker is happy at Spurs at the moment.
The 24-year-old is enjoying his football at Tottenham, who are going places and have finished in the top four of the Premier League for the third season in a row.
True, winning major trophies and titles is important in any player’s career, but Kane loves Tottenham, and one suspects that the striker wants to win trophies with Spurs.
Spurs are playing in the Champions League year after year, they are moving into a brand new stadium next season, and the fans love Kane.
