Former Tottenham Hotspur man Garth Crooks is a big fan of the £22 million man.
Garth Crooks has written in his BBC Sport column that Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min is the most improved player in the Premier League, and claims that he is “so grateful” to be playing for the club.
The 26-year-old is becoming a very big player for Spurs after opening the scoring in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Everton for what was his 11th goal of the season in all competitions.
The £22 million signing from 2015 hasn’t always had it easy, but this season he is really coming into his own and looks on course to have his best-ever campaign in a white shirt.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man bagged 21 goals overall last term and few would back against him to score 10 more before this season finishes.
He is undoubtedly getting better all the time in North London, both in terms of individual numbers but also level of performance.
“The South Korean is renowned for his energy and covers the ground with enormous alacrity,” Crooks wrote in his BBC Sport column.
“What I like most about him is that he genuinely plays the game with a smile on his face. I get the impression sometimes when he plays for Spurs that he is so grateful to be playing at Tottenham at all.
“I have said before that I think Son is one of the most improved players in the Premier League and against Everton he proved it once again.”
