Georginio Wijnaldum was in action for Liverpool against Chelsea in the Premier League this past weekend.

Wijnaldum featured for Liverpool in their Premier League game against Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge this past Saturday.
The 27-year-old Netherlands international midfielder – who earns £90,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Former Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion forward Crooks has included Wijnaldum in his BBC Premier League Team of the Week for his performance for Liverpool against Chelsea.
Crooks has also stated that the former PSV star – who joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million – has hardly been noticed.
“This player has suffered from being in a team that has so many outstanding players – he’s hardly been noticed,” Crooks wrote about Wijnaldum on BBC Sport.
“However, against Chelsea, Wijnaldum had one of the best 90 minutes of football I have seen him have in years.
“Liverpool’s front three were firing blanks, and James Milner and Jordan Henderson spent much of their time chasing Eden Hazard around Stamford Bridge, but Wijnaldum held it all together for the Reds in midfield. He had a great game.”

Stats
Wijnaldum has scored one goal in seven Premier League appearances for Liverpool so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The former Newcastle United star has stepped up his game this season and has established himself as an important player in manager Jurgen Klopp’s team.
