Garth Crooks praises Kyle Walker.

Garth Crooks has told BBC Sport he is impressed with Kyle Walker’s performances this season after quitting Tottenham for Manchester City.
Walker became the most expensive Premier League defender when City paid more than £50 million for his services, a figure which has since been eclipsed by Liverpool spending £75 million on Virgil van Dijk.
But a price tag bring with it a lot of pressure, as Van Dijk could find out, and Crooks has praised Walker for the way he has handled the transition.

Selecting Walker in his team of the festive period, Crooks told BBC Sport: “Walker has made the transition from Tottenham to City look easy. And now he is on the verge of winning a Premier League title as well.
“I was amazed by the amount of money City were prepared to pay for him, but no-one is talking about that £50m price tag now, are they? Least of all me.”

Walker joined City for a new challenge and a better shot at trophies, and he appears set to be rewarded instantly.
The right-back has been excellent this season and appears destined to win a Premier League title medal in his first season at City.
Pep Guardiola’s side are 15 points clear at the top of the table and 22 ahead of Tottenham, who sit in fifth place at present.
Spurs will have to hope that Walker’s instant success will not prompt any more of their stars to desire to follow him.
