Leeds United are going strong in the Championship at the moment.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that the next six or seven games will not be defining for his side.

The Whites are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are in the running for a top-six finish.

The West Yorkshire outfit are currently ninth in the league table with 23 points from 15 matches.

Leeds are just a point behind Bristol City, who are sixth in the standings at the moment and occupy the final playoff spot.

Monk’s side will take on Norwich City away from home at Carrow Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites will then face Newcastle United, Rotherham United, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading, Brentford and Preston North End in the league.

Later this month, Leeds will take on Premier League outfit Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

Monk has stated that the next six or seven matches will not be defining for Leeds.

“No,” Monk told The Yorkshire Evening Post when asked if the next six or seven games would be defining for Leeds.

“There’s plenty of football to be played and there will be a period for sure coming up in this season where we will suffer some disappointment or lows.

“But what we have done and shown already is that we can react straight away and that’s the key to any negative – reacting straight away.”

Leeds are in good form at the moment, and the fans should be confident that the team pick some decent points from their next six or seven matches.
