Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The West Yorkshire outfit went down 2-1 to Burton away from home at the Pirelli Stadium in the Championship.

After a goalless first half, the home team took the lead in the 75th minute when Marvin Sordell scored.

Michael Kightly doubled the hosts’ advantage just two minutes later, and although Kyle Bartley halved the deficit for the visitors, Burton held on for the three points.

The result means that Leeds are now seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 73 points from 44 matches, three points behind sixth-placed Fulham.

Not so long ago the Whites looked set for a top-six finish, but now things are out of their hands.

Leeds head coach Monk has taken to Twitter to assure the fans that he and his players will continue to work hard in order to end the season in the playoffs.
