Leeds United boss Pep Clotet is pleased with how things are going at Elland Road.
Leeds United assistant manager Pep Clotet has told the club’s official website that he now feels the relationships at Elland Road are ‘really good’.
The Whites have gone into the international break sitting in sixth place in the Championship table following a 3-2 win at Norwich last weekend, meaning they now lie in one of the four play-off spots.
Manager Garry Monk has brought stability to Elland Road, and with seven wins in the last ten games, Leeds are showing real signs that this could be the year that they finally return to the Premier League.

A slow start to the season meant that there were swift questions about Monk’s future at Elland Road, as The Mirror reported just two weeks into the campaign that Monk was fighting for his job.
Now over five months into his spell at Elland Road, Monk has done enough to satisfy Leeds’ trigger-happy owner Massimo Cellino, and good times seem to be on the horizon for Leeds fans, who have done their fair share of suffering over the years.

As Leeds gear up to return from the international break and take on Newcastle United in their biggest game of the season so far, Monk’s long-time assistant manager Pep Clotet has spoken to the club’s official website about the relationship developing at Elland Road.
Clotet commented on the change in atmosphere at Elland Road, suggesting that the relationship between staff, players and fans is now ‘really good’, and feels it’s important that the fans spur the team on at home.
The Spaniard added that there is a ‘barrier of insecurity’ early on, but there is a point where players know their team-mates will work hard for each other, which makes the fans proud,and in turn makes staff and players proud to be part of such a huge club.

“The relationship we now have with the team and the fans is really good, because we do feel we are fighting and working together for our own benefit,” said Clotet. “The game is about being better than the opposition and the fans always remind us of that, it is good to have the mentality where the fans always want you and encourage you to do more.”
“When you cross that barrier of insecurity, maybe at the beginning of games and you get to a point with where you are comfortable with how you are playing and you are sure that your teammates are going to work as hard as you, it makes the fans proud and ourselves proud of being part of Leeds United,” he added.
