Robert Green of Leeds United saves a shot from Nelson Oliveira of Norwich City
Despite an excellent season under the management of Garry Monk, Leeds United ended up coming short in the race for the play-off places.
They finished seventh in the Championship, with a 3-3 draw at Norwich City in their penultimate fixture essentially the nail in the coffin.

Nelson Oliveira bagged a brace in the tie, the Portuguese international previously spending time on loan for Monk at Swansea City.
He spent the second half of the 2014-15 campaign at Swansea on loan but failed to become a hit at the Liberty Stadium. He featured 11 times, scoring just once, and never looked like the player Monk needed at the club.

It was therefore no surprise that Monk did not pursue his permanent transfer in the summer of 2015.
Monk, who has in fact been linked with taking over at Norwich, will regret that this is how they have crossed paths again.
