The Leeds United boss has been talking about his transfer hopes.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk has been speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s clash against Barnsley this weekend, with his comments published on the Whites’ official Twitter account.
Among the topics being discussed was the prospect of new additions to the playing squad during the current transfer window, and Monk was open in his desire to strengthen key areas.
“I would still like to bring in one or two players to help the squad and everyone is working very hard internally to do that,” Monk said.

With Pablo Hernandez secured on a permanent deal and Pontus Jansson expected to follow in due course, Leeds look set to have a decent January.
However, those players were already on loan at the club so Leeds fans will be keen to see a striker arrive to act as back-up to the in-form Chris Wood.

Then there is the possibility of strengthening further on the wing and in defensive positions, so it is no surprise Monk and the Leeds hierarchy are working hard behind the scenes to get deals done.
That is always difficult midway through a campaign. However there is still time, and Leeds proved with the majority of their summer business that they are pretty savvy in the market these days.
