According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Garry Monk is unlikely to be attracted to the Sunderland job this summer.
Monk is currently on the market, following his shock departure from Leeds United.
The 38-year-old boss was expected to stay on at Elland Road, but ended up not penning a new contract.
Monk is now searching for a new job, and he has been in-demand.
Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace have been strongly linked with Monk, but Sunderland are unlikely to be able to attract the former Swansea boss, according to reports.
The Black Cats require some major rebuilding, following their relegation to the Championship.
Sunderland are set to lose a number of players this summer, with a large volume of new arrivals expected on Wearside over the coming weeks.
