Leeds United boss Garry Monk has suggested to the club’s official Twitter account that the Whites will have to cope without Pablo Hernandez for the next two or three weeks as he continues to recover from injury.
The 31-year-old has not played for United since the dramatic win over Norwich City before the international break, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting that he has suffered a hamstring strain.
And while some Leeds fans may have been hoping for good news regarding the Spaniard after watching the side lose to Newcastle at the weekend, Monk has claimed that it may not be until the start of the hectic Christmas period that Hernandez is back playing (via club’s official Twitter account).

While the former Swansea man has been inconsistent at times since moving to Elland Road on loan, there is no doubt that he will be a key man for Leeds in their quest to reach the play-offs.
He brings a level of creativity in midfield that is arguably unparalleled within the Whites’ squad – he has scored twice and has contributed two assists – so Monk would have surely wanted to have him back as early as possible before the games come even thicker and faster as he undoubtedly has the quality to inspire them even further up the table.
