Leeds United won 2-1 against Barnsley, to extend their winning run at Elland Road to four matches.

Garry Monk has told TV Yorkshire that he wanted to make sure his Leeds United players took the game to Barnsley, in the second-half of their match at the weekend.
Leeds went into the break leading 1-0 against Barnsley, after Kyle Bartley had put them in front from a corner.
However, Monk wanted his players to show greater attacking ambition and challenged them to be proactive in the second half.

Leeds rose to their task, as they flew out of the blocks and doubled their advantage through Pablo Hernandez in the 54th minute, before going on to win the Yorkshire derby 2-1.
And Monk said: “I asked the players at half time to accelerate the game. I felt that we could be on the front foot more offensively, and I asked them to do that in the second half.
“I thought they did that. I thought, especially in the first 20 minutes, it was some of the best football that we have played.”

Leeds have now won their last four matches at Elland Road, and they are steadily climbing up the Championship table.
The Whites are in fine form, and optimism is growing rapidly around the Yorkshire club.
Leeds are currently in 11th place in the Championship table – just four points back from the play off spaces.
