Leeds United will return to action this weekend when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at home.

The Whites will face Brighton at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday evening. The West Yorkshire outfit are fourth in the league table at the moment with 66 points from 37 matches.

Meanwhile, Brighton currently find themselves second in the standings with 77 points from 37 matches, level on points with leaders Newcastle United.

Leeds head coach Garry Monk has shared his opinion on the Seagulls ahead of the match between the two sides at Elland Road on Saturday evening.

Monk believes that Brighton are one of the best teams in the Championship, but he is confident that the Whites can pick up all three points from the encounter.

“They are obviously one of the best teams in the league,” Monk told The Yorkshire Post about Brighton.

“They have got a lot of experience, a lot of strength and it is a club that has built up over a good few seasons now and you can see the benefits of that.

“But we will go into the game determined, and try and put our best football on the pitch. We know that when we can do that, we can beat any team in this league.”

Playing at home will give Leeds an advantage, and there is a very good chance that they could nick a win.

A draw against Brighton would not be a bad result for Monk’s side, but the hosts have to make sure that they do not lose.

A good performance and a good result against the Seagulls is going to boost Leeds’s confidence and will help them in the final weeks of the season.
