Leeds United lost against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship on Friday evening.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday evening.

The Whites suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brighton away from home at the American Express Community Stadium in the Championship.

Glenn Murray put the Seagulls in the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half, with Leeds’s Kalvin Phillips sent off.

Then on 82 minutes, Tomer Hemed wrapped up the points for the home team with his side’s second spot kick.

Leeds head coach Monk has sent a strong message on Twitter following the defeat, with the club’s fans responding on the social networking site.

Brighton deserved to win against Leeds, who were not helped by the early dismissal of Phillips.

It was always going to be hard for the West Yorkshire outfit to win at the American Express Community Stadium, as the Seagulls are a good team and are aiming for automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Leeds will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Reading at Elland Road in the Championship.
