Leeds United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship this weekend. The Whites will take on Preston North End at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Garry Monk’s side will head into the match against Preston on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Brentford away from home at Griffin Park in the league.

It followed a 1-0 defeat to Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship last weekend.

The West Yorkshire outfit are fifth in the league table at the moment with 69 points from 40 matches.

Leeds are very much in the running for the playoffs, but back-to-back defeats have damaged their already slim chances of making a push for the two automatic promotion spots.

Some fans will be worried that there could be a slide, and that Leeds could drop out of the top six in the final weeks of the season.

After all, the Whites are only five points clear of seventh-placed Fulham, with Preston and Derby County also making a late rally for the playoffs.

Ahead of the match against Preston on Saturday afternoon, Leeds head coach Monk has taken to Twitter to send a message, with the club’s fans responding on the social networking site.
