Stuart Dallas has dropped out of Leeds United’s first-team recently.

Leeds United boss Garry Monk has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he has held discussions with Stuart Dallas, and feels that the Northern Irish international is close to being back to his best.
Dallas began the campaign as part of Leeds’ starting line-up, but he has dropped out of contention recently.
The hardworking winger was left out of Leeds’ match day squad against Huddersfield Town in their latest outing, with Monk feeling that his efforts at Euro 2016 over the summer had left him fatigued.
However, Monk now says that Dallas is back to his best in training – and he has hinted that he could come back into Leeds’ first-team in the near future.

“He’s back to his normal self. I had a good chat with Stuart when he came back. He’s an important player for us,” he said.
“It’s very normal after big international tournaments. The players come back with the right intentions. Stuart’s a very good lad, a hard trainer, but it’s for me to help him. He’s closing in on getting back to his best.”
Dallas was one of Leeds’ stand out performers last term, so if he does return to form it can only be good news for the Yorkshire side.

In Dallas’ absence, Leeds have lacked a cutting edge – with their attacking play failing to cause opposition teams many problems.
Dallas could make his return to action in Leeds’ match against Blackburn Rovers later this evening, but it seems more likely that he will start from the substitutes’ bench.
