Leeds United manager Garry Monk has said that summer signing Hadi Sacko typifies exactly what he wants from his side and hailed the winger’s attitude and quality, as quoted by the Daily Star.

Sacko joined the Whites on loan from Sporting Lisbon this summer with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season, and judging by his displays so far this season he will certainly be staying at Elland Road.

The 22-year-old has been a bright star for the Championship club, scoring once in eight appearances and dazzling with some fine individual performances.

Monk is certainly delighted with what he has seen from the Frenchman and hailed his attitude and quality on and off the pitch.

The Leeds boss said that Sacko is the perfect example of what he wants from his players and team as a whole.

Monk said, via the Daily Star: “He typifies how I want the team to play, and he has brought the character, perseverance and quality that was needed.

“I need a character like him, and you only have to see what he produced against Blackburn to understand why. Hadi has done really well right from the first minute he walked through the door here.

“He is fantastic to work with – an absolute joy – and it’s terrific to have a lad like him at the football club.”

Leeds fans will be wishing to see more of the same from Sacko and hoping that his impressive displays can begin to be mirrored in results.
