Garry Monk has told BBC Radio Leeds that Leeds United are not yet planning transfers for next season.

Monk insists that all his focus is on guiding Leeds to promotion to the Premier League.

And the 38-year-old has suggested that he will only start discussing transfers, when his own future is secured too.

“At this point, I’m very focused on what we’re doing now,” Monk said, when asked whether he is already looking at potential summer targets for Leeds.

“I don’t want to go into my own personal future, but like the club have said they want to sit down in June and try and find out if we can agree on the best way going forward.”

Monk’s current contract at Elland Road is set to expire at the end of the season, and he is yet to be presented with new terms.

Monk is expected to sign a new deal at Leeds, but some uncertainty does remain.

Leeds’ transfer targets are likely to be decided by what division they are in next season.

The Whites are currently challenging for promotion to the Premier League, and they currently occupy a spot in the Championship play offs.
