Leeds United won against Barnsley in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has suggested on the club’s official Twitter page that he is pleased with his side’s win against Barnsley.
The Whites returned to winning ways in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Barnsley at Elland Road.
Kyle Bartley put the West Yorkshire outfit in the lead in the 36th minute, and Pablo Hernandez doubled the home team’s advantage just nine minutes into the second half.
Barnsley halved the deficit in the 70th minute when Leeds defender Charlie Taylor turned Cole Kpekawa’s cross into his own net.

“It was never going to be easy today in a derby, but what we’ve been working on is really starting to show,” Monk is quoted as saying by Leeds’s official Twitter page.
“We’ve seen a real improvement in these last seven games. The first half was quite even but we got on the front foot in the second half and deservedly got another goal.
“We switched off for one moment when they scored. We had to weather their attacks but we defended really well.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts Leeds had 46% of the possession, took 10 shots of which five were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Barnsley had 54% of the possession, took 10 shots of which three were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
