Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United lost to Birmingham City on Saturday.

Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Birmingham away from home at St. Andrew’s in the Championship.
Che Adams scored the only goal of the match on 29 minutes, as the West Yorkshire outfit slipped down to third in the league table.
Monk believes that Birmingham deserved to pick up all three points against his former club Leeds.
The win on Saturday afternoon means that Birmingham have done the double on Leeds this season.
Back in September 2018, the Blues got the better of the Whites 2-1 at Elland Road.
Monk told Leeds Live: “Winning six points against Leeds is testament to the players. Got what they deserved.”
According to The Birmingham Mail, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani interrupted Monk’s post-match interviews, shook his hand, and said: “I’m glad we don’t have to play you again this season.”

Monk was the head coach of Leeds during the 2016-17 campaign and also guided the West Yorkshire outfit to the Championship playoffs.
The result on Saturday afternoon means that Leeds are third in the Championship table at the moment with 76 points from 40 matches, a point behind second-placed Sheffield United.
As for Birmingham, Monk’s side are just five points above the Championship relegation zone.
