Eunan O’Kane played for Leeds United against Ipswich Town in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has suggested to TV Yorkshire that he was pleased with the performance of Eunan O’Kane against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
O’Kane, who joined Leeds from Premier League club Bournemouth in the summer transfer window, started the Championship game against Ipswich and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Monk has spoken highly of the 26-year-old former Torquay United midfielder, and has suggested that he was happy with his performance against the Tractor Boys.

“Intelligent person, intelligent player, fitted straight in with the squad, and good players don’t take long to understand what you want from them,” Monk told TV Yorkshire about O’Kane.
“We explained everything how we work and exactly how we need him to work and understand. He compliments the other midfielders that we have that are playing games.”

O’Kane has played in three Championship matches for Leeds so far this season, creating three chances in the process.
The Republic of Ireland international is still not at his best, but he will get better and improve as the season progresses.
The former Bournemouth midfielder knows the Championship inside out, and his experience will be vital as Leeds attempt to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
The West Yorkshire outfit maintained their good run of form with a narrow 1-0 victory over Ipswich at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
