Leeds United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 without Pablo Hernandez.
Leeds United boss Garry Monk has told BBC Radio Leeds that Pablo Hernandez almost made it back in time to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in his side’s latest match.
Hernandez picked up a dead leg during Leeds’ match against Wigan Athletic in midweek.
And the Spanish attacking midfielder was almost fit enough to start against Wolves, but was not quite able to shake off the knock in time.

Thankfully for Leeds, Hernandez’s absence did not seem to have a negative impact on their performance.
Monk’s side ran out 1-0 winners at Molineux, with Kemar Roofe grabbing the only goal of the game.
Hernandez now faces a fight to win his place back in the team, but Monk has suggested that the former Swansea City attacker could be involved against Norwich City on Tuesday evening.

“He was close. It was a dead leg he picked up on Tuesday,” Monk said. “Today’s game was just a couple of games too soon for him. He’s more likely to be ready for Tuesday.”
Hernandez has been one of Leeds’ most consistent performers in recent weeks, and he appears to have fully settled in at Elland Road now.
If the 31-year-old is fit enough to face Norwich it will be a major boost for Leeds, as they aim to qualify for the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
